Hello lovelies! It’s been a minute since my last post. So much has happened since my last post, had an op last week Friday. The gynae called it a minor one, but I swear it’s like I had a C-section all over again, ha ha. I was battling with severe abdominal pain, so they needed to do a laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis and the likes. The op was a success, but I must say the recovery process the first two days was horrendous. I was quite surprised that it was a day op, and they didn’t let me sleep over night. First three days hubby literally had to bathe me, because that’s how little movement I could make. I also didn’t react well to the anesthetic, which took me back to when I gave birth to Kwando and how I reacted to the epidural. I had severe nausea and vomiting , and was shivering like crazy. I’m now back on my feet, still unable to drive, or rather I’m too scared, until my check-up on Monday. Thanks a million to the friends and family that called/ sent messages and prayed for me. I really appreciate the love and support!
Can I just RANT for a second. I think I spoke too soon about SweepSouth cleaning service company. I just cancelled my services with them this morning, because I was just so over them. First time they had to come over, I got an sms from a manager or something to that effect, saying that the lady assigned to me had to rush her child to hospital. I had no problem with that and even responding saying I completely understand, because I myself have a child. Then they asked if I can re-schedule to the following day, which was a Saturday. Although it was a real inconvenience I sad yes, because my place was really looking like a mad house. The lady arrived, not in SweepSouth gear like in the photo sent via e-mail and with no cleaning products in hand ( which I paid for mind you), so she ended up having to use the products in the house. That day was also a crazy day, might I add. Both hubby and I had commitments and we were both in and out the house. The lady arrived when I was still in the house, and my hubby had to see her out. Funniest thing, I was shocked when she arrived without a checklist, only for her to hand it to my husband on her way out. Like? When I checked, there was so much she didn’t get through. The following Friday I had to go in for an op and my husband wasn’t comfortable with the lady seeing herself in and out, because of the nature of the relationship. I had called in to reschedule for the previous day, but they did not have a cleaner available. So today a cleaner was scheduled for 07:30am so around 7:15am I got up to prepare myself, then DOLOLO cleaner….. he bathong! I get a call an hour later from their office, to say that the cleaner has just called in sick. They asked if they could re-schedule for tomorrow, I was like please rather cancel my contract. Like I can’t! Woahhhhh…. Like nearly every time I’ve had an issue! My house is still seriously looking UPSIDE, because I’ve been unable to clean since the op. But I’ll rather go find someone in the morning to come in and try build a relationship with them. Okkkkk……. RANT OVER! ha ha!

Back to the clothing, I’m sure some of you will remember this waterfall coat. I just turned it into a sexy number, and made it a wrap dress. Sometimes, you need to spend time looking through your wardrobe and find items that you can play around with. You’ll be so surprised at how versatile your wardrobe can be, if you take time to sift through.
Plans for the weekend are to rest up a little, which probably won’t happen. I also need to prep looks for a shoot on Tuesday for Kwando and see my supplier for some new orders. I won’t lie, I really have my hands tied, my life has become really busy. This is not a compliant, I’m really grateful to God for all the busyness. It’s been a long time coming, I’ll share my journey one day, but for now let me get back to mommy mode. My child has been so clingy and needy, since the op. I couldn’t hold him the first three days, so I completely understand. I missed him so much, so I’m taking every moment I can to spend time with him.
Have a lovely weekend specials!
xx
