First post with my hubby! eeeekkkkkk….. Hello Boo! Don’t stare too much guys, ha ha.. #CrazyWifeAlert Hey guys, as you can probably already tell, I’m SUPER excited about this post. I’ve beeeeeen wanting to blog with hubby for the longest time, but timing and together with allowing him time to be comfortable with the idea of being in front of the camera prolonged the process. My husband is quite a shy guy, one of those that takes time to open up to people. We are really quite the opposite, but it works. For one, I studied fashion and him IT, what could be more different. But, I’ll post on how we meet and the likes some other time.
When I meet Boo he really didn’t know how to dress, ha ha. I really hate to say that about him, but I honestly can’t lie. I would get SOOO dressed up every time we’d go out, only to be picked up by a man in flip-flops, track suit pants (that used to be white) and bright coloured athleisure sweaters, or the FIRM favourite Liverpool t-shirts. Guys, it was REAL for me. I honestly didn’t know where to begin with my husband. I NEVER ever thought my husband would own a pair of skinny jeans, let alone straight leg jeans… BUT miracles do happen peeps! ha ha… The key thing I learnt during his “transitional” period was patience. A person needs to feel comfortable in what they’re wearing, and if they don’t it really does show. Also, style or fashion choices have numerous behinds them. So you can’t force a person to become something they’re not. Yes, at times it was difficult walking around with him wearing bootleg jeans, but I loved ( still love) the man, so bootleg for the win! He knows how to dress now, I should probably take time to blow my own horn here, but I won’t ….. Cause modesty! ha ha! But no really, he has swag for days now. Can pick and style his own looks, shop for himself and believe it or not I’d trust him to shop for me.

How rude of me, apologies for taking a break on the blog, but I tripped on the stairs last week with my phone in my hand. Cracked my screen , let me say that again, slightly cracked my screen and lo and behold my touch screen function doesn’t work…. May I just add, that this is the second time my phone has gone in for repairs in the last month. I’m so over me and phones, either this is a spirit that I need to rebuke or I’ve gone to another level of clumsy, ha ha. And how do I forget to mention that hubby doesn’t have a phone too, because TODDLER TANTRUM. Kwando basically shattered his phone two weeks back. I wasn’t around that Saturday I was at the YWC meeting, but had I been there I probably would’ve given him the biggest smack of his life. Back to my explanation as to why I haven’t blogged. The phone part is an essential part of blogging, because I need to Instagram the looks, and so forth. Although I could continue to blog using the laptop, I still need a techno savvy phone to market the blog posts. My phone is not back, but I’m trying to make it work.
Speaking of the YWC , if you don’t know by now that stands for the Young Wives Club. It was our last meeting for the year last month (inserts crying face emoji). 1. I’m amazed at how times flies. It felt like just the other day Thato and I were chatting about this club. 2. I NEVER EVER thought I would get along so well with this many woman. You know how some women can get, the jealousy, bitchiness, sizing each other up and of course competitiveness ,which is the ultimate. Sincerely speaking, this group has been the opposite of that. They have truly become like family to me. I can’t wait for our year-end function, to celebrate the friendship, God’s goodness and the testimonies that keep coming in.
You also missed out on Kwando’s dedication and his mini picnic party. I wish I could say I was super emo on the Sunday, but I really wasn’t. It went by way too fast. You hear your child’s name been called out, next thing you’re making a declaration before God and before you know it you’re back in your seat listening to the pastor preach. I swear I blinked and the whole thing was over, for such an important moment and milestone of my child’s life I felt like it went by way too fast. I did however manage to capture a very blurry picture of my pastor laying hands on Kwando, I’ll probably frame that next to his certificate. I’ll cherish that forever!
His party was really chilled hey, it was VERY last-minute, so I couldn’t invite as many people as I would’ve liked. Nevertheless, it was beautiful. We laid out a few blankets, braai’d some meat, and he had a chance to blow out his “homemade” ice-cream cake whilst we sang the Happy Birthday song. I used inverted commas because it’s such a cheat recipe, ha ha. It’s so easy, it really makes you feel like a pro! I’ll probably blog about it soon.
As for this look, PERFECT Summer dress or what? I won’t lie I was feeling myself in this dress, ha ha and Boo was feeling me too. The slit?! oh honey, can we just discuss the slit for a second. It’s the right kinda sexy, not too much, not too little. Well for me that is! Boo picked his clothes, very easy Summer look that could be paired with a pair of flip-flops, or your man could even leave out the denim shirt and wear a short sleeve vest for the beach or those very warm Summer days. How are you and your boo choosing to slay together this Summer?
P.S. I’m slightly obsessed with these images, time stood still in these moments. Love you baby!
