Joburg Summer where are you?! Is this a sign of things to come? of Autumn that is. Hard to believe that we already heading for a change of Season, this year is really flying by!
Anyways Hello beautiful peeps, I was all smiles about the cuddle weather until my baby starting feeling sick. When baby isn’t well it sucks because he’s grumpy and becomes disinterested in food. Never mind the fact that it sets me back since I work from home. We don’t have a full-time nanny, just a lady that comes in once/ twice a week to clean and iron. So that means I get little to nothing done when Kwando is around.
Oh and by sick , I literally mean rushing Kwando to the ER early hours of Friday morning. Basically same symptoms presented themselves as last time, difficulty breathing, cough and poor appetite. And what do you know, exactly the same results; viral caused bronchitis. I must say this is the worst part about crèche, it takes a lot out of a parent/s, cause it’s truly heartbreaking to see your child not well. The good news is that we got discharged Saturday evening, and thank heavens for that! To be honest I was already at my wit’s end because the hospital had the worst staff and care. We basically took care of ourselves, even had a nurse instruct me on how and when to feed Kwando his medication. I was in such disbelief you have no idea( insert crazy eye emoji). Anyways we are back at home and I’m the one who’s feeling extremely under the weather. I think I must’ve caught a bug or something cause I’ve been feeling groggy, congested nose, aching body, nausea and vomiting. It’s a mixture of fluish like symptoms that make want to curl up in bed all day, but I’ve got way too much to do.
Rocking one of my faves from my mom’s wardrobe. Guys my mom was the shiz niz in her day, think perfectly combed out fro, slim figure ( before all 6 kids), dressed to the nines. Her pics make me so happy and envious, cause she had ( and still has) style for days. I’ve had this skirt lurking in my wardrobe for ages, I just hadn’t found the time to search for a reliable tailor in Jhb. Then I remembered the lady that made my wedding dress, Ma Maki whom I still owe a visit and the biggest bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately she had too much on her plate, but being the sweet lady she is, she didn’t leave me hanging. She referred me to a lady that used to work along side her, you could say a protege of some sort. Now she’s my tailor, I was super impressed with her work, finishing and turn around time. If you need a really good and affordable tailor please let me know and I’ll forward her numbers to you. This is not the only skirt she did for me, you’ll see the other one pretty soon. I should’ve probably taken before and after pics, but hey! Anyways the brightness of this skirt will surely bring on the sunshine, right?! Stepping out of my comfort zone this year by wearing more bright pieces.
Have a lovely Monday and a blessed week ahead!
