Happy belated Easter beautiful ones! I had such a relaxed Easter weekend, we were in Durban with my husband’s family ,and as per usual ,we were embraced with so much love. Kwando had the time of his life, because every which way he turned there was an uncle/ aunty/ grandparent ready to love on him. That was probably the highlight of my Easter weekend, nothing could beat seeing love in action. Unfortunately we didn’t really do much sight-seeing, because of time and extended family wanting to see us. It was more just chilling with family around the pool, because Durban heat showed us whose boss. And a whole lot of stuffing our faces. I’m sure I gained a kilo in the short time we were there! I wish we could’ve stayed longer though and made the most of my husband’s leave, but I had a shoot scheduled for Monday ( as in yesterday). And can I just talk about yesterday’s shoot for a minute. The location was perfection! I mean perfection! The one thing that’s been quite difficult in this blogging world has been finding a good location. Firstly, a location that is safe for two females and secondly, that has some sort of texture and mood. So yesterday I was on a high, cause clothing was on FLEEK, lighting was doing best and the location was just the cherry on top.
Now back to the Easter weekend, because I got so carried away there. Good Friday is probably thee most exciting day of the year for me as a believer. I still can’t put into words the selfish act of the cross, all I know is that unconditional love, overtook my life and my life has never been the same again. The fact that the King of glory stepped down from His throne and chose to lay down his life for me, is beyond comprehension. But wait, it goes beyond Good Friday though, because resurrection Sunday He reveals why He truly is the King of Kings. The tomb is empty, He lives, seated in heaven, making intercession on my behalf. Such glory, such love!
Before I run off, I just want to add that being a mom has made me more appreciative of the athleisure trend. Comfort is everything to me now with a toddler around. My son is ALWAYS on the move, so heels have a become somewhat of a treat for me,which I really don’t mind to be honest. I love that gym wear has become a wearable and trendy look for the day. And this look works for me, because it’s effortless and has zero fuss. These kicks are sooooo comfy, and I love that I can make them work with just about everything in my closet. If you own a perfect pair of kicks don’t be afraid to try them out with different looks, I’ve paired these kicks with a maxi dress, wide leg jeans and even tailored pants and they’ve been perfect every time. Trust me, you’ll never leave the house wearing anything else!
