Morning my lovelies! How’s about we discuss yesterday’s weather for 10 marks?! Woaaaaaah, Jhb was definitely something else. The intensity of the rain and hailstones were actually quite frightening to say the least. I heard that a tornado swept up part of a mall near Tembisa, not sure if there were any fatalities, but I saw damage made to a few shops via Whatsapp images courtesy of hubby’s group chats.
This will be a short write-up from me, I have quite a few things to get through today. Yesterday, I didn’t get anything done. Hubby took the day off to drive me to the gynae. It’s not that I’m unable to drive, but the assistance I require with Kwando whilst I’m in there. I went to see a male gynae for the first time, and can I just rave on how AMAZING he was! At first, I thought I’d feel a little embarrassed or uncomfortable around him, but not even the slightest bit hey. I was extremely relaxed and he really gave us a thorough, detailed explanations pertaining to the consultation. So, Friday I’ve been booked in for a mini op. I’m having a laparoscopy done, it’s really nothing major. For those who aren’t sure what it is, it’s a mini surgery that uses a thin, lighted tube put through a cut (incision) in the belly to look at the abdominal organs or female pelvic organs. Had a business meeting scheduled for Friday and shoot for Saturday, that I’ll have to move around now because of this.
Now, I have to jump to outfit details because of time. Firstly, that lippie colour is not a lipstick, it’s in actual fact eyeshadow. It’s quite long-lasting, which was really surprising. I learnt that trick from a fellow blogger named Hlomi Jack. Thank you sister! Denim on denim, was the look I was trying to go for. You can never go wrong with it. Still a classic look, that can easily be re-mixed to suit your style and personality. Try adding different shades of denim/ patchwork detail/ cut-outs/ frayed edges/ a variation of lengths and sizes. For the more daring individual try the ‘more is more’ look ( wearing a short dress / mini skirt over denim and adding a cropped jacket).
