Vaseline Intensive Care spray moisturiser

So let’s be honest, this year clearly started off on a rocky note for me, and if I’m be to be really honest, I’ve had quite a tough time finding my blogging feet. I’m a person that’s naturally hard on myself, so I’ve had a lot of pep talks recently trying to stay motivated and not talk myself out of why I started this. I’m not as “on track” as I had expected to be, we’re nearly half way through the year and by now I definitely thought I would’ve at least given you about 10 or even more beauty reviews. I guess better late than never will have to do!

Okay so let’s get into it… Today I’ll be chatting to you about the three Vaseline Intensive Care moisturiser sprays, and I honestly think the timing of this review couldn’t have come at a better time, with it being the Winter season. The variants in the range are as follows; Deep Restore Spray (yellow), Aloe Soothe Spray (green) & Cocoa Radiant Spray (brown). This fairly new range ( to the South African market) comes in 190ml tall (slim) sized bottle which makes it perfect for travelling, gym and overall convenience. The innovative design makes for a better fit in the hand, unlike the bulky round tub / rectangular shaped sized bottle. It has such an easy handle, with the one hand your spraying the product, and with the other you’re gently rubbing the product into your skin. If you’re a sucker for functional and decorative design like me, then you’ll absolutely love these bottles. The functional part is the twist-lock rotating nozzle, which is perfect for any mom with a curious toddler. The genius idea of being able to lock a product is just a complete answered prayer to every mom, because I don’t know how many times I’ve walked in on Kwando applying and spilling out copious amounts of my moisturiser. Beauties, gone are the days of having to scoop up product from the floor or my crisp white bedding. The matte finish of the bottle is the decorative part, it gives the product a sleek and edgy feel, which we can all admit is a huge upgrade from the plastic bottle finishing. The texture of the lotion that is dispensed is thinner than the regular Vaseline lotions, but don’t be disheartened it’s just as hydrating.

All three sprays are designed to alleviate dry skin, whilst fulfilling personal sensory preferences. Once again, you getting the best of both worlds. I suffer from very dry skin and it’s made me extremely pedantic about my choice of moisturisers and creams. Flaky skin, ashy feet, cracked heels and dry hands are a scene out of a horror movie for me.Yes, I’m that hectic! I’m always on my husbands case about it, because he’s a proper “guy” in that regard. If you’re nodding away at all of the above, then this product is definitely for you. The Intensive Care spray offers superior moisturisation, with ultra quick (within seconds) absorption, that leaves the skin feeling deeply nourished without that heavy-greasy, oily feeling. Unlike the petroleum jelly which has an ointment after-feel, this product leaves your skin feeling really smooth. The smell! Right up my alley and the coca variant wins my a mile, with the other two offering very pleasant smells.

Is there a difference with all three product offerings? Yes! Firstly, let me start by saying, that all three products contain high levels of glycerin which aids in faster hydration, and if you’re an avid Vaseline petroleum jelly user like me, then you’ll be happy to know that each bottle also has healing micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly, which helps to lock the moisture in.

Now the difference in colours: Deep Restore Spray ( yellow) helps with restoring dry skin, bringing back a healthy feeling to the skin. I also need to make mention of the fact that it contains Oat extract. If you didn’t know, Oat Extract is very effective in fighting dull, flaky dryness, helping to repair the skin back to its original form. The Aloe Sooth Spray ( green) is enriched with aloe. It serves as a great soothing agent, and if you suffer from irritable skin then this variant is definitely for you. I would also highly recommend using it after shaving, to help soothe the skin. Out of the three, this one gave the most fresh feeling and hydration. The Cocoa Radiant Spray ( brown) which I might add, is my absolute favourite of all the variants. This bottle contains pure cocoa and smells oh so heavenly, like a combination of chocolate and vanilla. And it definitely does do the job, your skin will immediately look radiant and give off a very natural glow!

Application: is probably the reasson why I’m hooked on this product. You simply twist the cap, which twists to reveal the spray nozzle. Make sure to at least hold the bottle approximately 10cm away from your skin when spraying. When you press the nozzle, the lotion is dispensed as a continuous thin mist of white fluid. Lightly and gently rub it into the body and VOILA!

Lastly, where you can purchase the range and how much it retails for. I’ve bought mine from bot the likes of Dis-chem and Clicks, but however I’ve seen them at most well-known supermarkets and convenience stores. It retails for both R79.95 and R89.95 depending on where you purchase it from.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed reading through this review. If you’re already using the product please feel free to drop me a comment, because I’d really love to hear about your experience whether good or bad. If you’ve never used it, I really hope you’ll consider trying it out, and when you do, please come back and leave a comment.

Yes, I would definitely recommend Vaseline Intensive Care spray moisturiser range. One of the most convenient products I have ever used!
