Hey guys! It’s been a long minute, since I’ve blogged. I can’t apologize enough for my inconsistency. Let me catch you up on the last few weeks of my life. Well, my Kwandaroo started crèche this month. I was the most emotional mom on his first day, ha ha. The excitement I had, of finally having time to myself and running the blog/ business without interruptions ,quickly went out the window. He was such a champ, didn’t cry, kick, scream or even try hold onto us. It’s been about two weeks of crèche and I’ve seen such positive change already. He’s become more independent, wanting to feed himself, etc. And of course there’s the negative side of crèche which is falling sick. As we speak Kwando is home with an ear infection,flu-like symptoms and a cough. We took him to his paediatrician on Monday and he’s basically out for the week. Parents please be cautious, apparently there’s swine flu going around, so his paediatrician made him get tested and the results came back clean, thankfully.
It’s the worst seeing him sick, you feel so helpless. Today has been a particularly bad day for him, he’s been extra clingy and full of cries, which breaks my heart. Oh yes, the worst thing happened I cracked my phone screen two weeks back. The touchscreen functionality doesn’t work anymore, so I had to take it in for repairs. Luckily, the phone is insured, and apparently I might be getting a new one. I would be jumping up and down, but I’ve lost all my photos of Kwando and hubby, which really makes me sad. I’m super sentimental, so I’m not dealing. I didn’t have time to back up the images, and I doubt a lot of the images were saved onto the memory card.
Business is going well, my sister and I have a lot of ideas. Unfortunately, ideas mean money, so implementation of the ideas will happen gradually. I haven’t blogged in a while, because I’ve been at markets ( selling the perfumes) nearly every weekend, so I haven’t really had the time to squeeze in a shoot. I’ve got a few ideas for the blog too. All shall be revealed pretty soon. I’m really hoping you’ll love the ideas that Mikayla and I have.
Next week Thursday is my wedding anniversary, I’m amazed at how time flies! My husband and I are really in need of QT time other than what we get in bed in the evening, ha ha. Both of us have had an extremely busy year with regards to work, God has been so good. I’m really looking forward to just fooling around ( not like that, ha ha) with him and just having fun.
I think Kwando is up, so I might have to cut this blog post short. About this look, I got this jumpsuit during the Winter months. I’ve always wanted a statement white piece with an edge and what can get better than a wide leg with an open back. The neck piece is actually just twisted rope that I used for my second dress on my wedding day. I was trying it on the other week and thought it would be a nice off-setting piece.
